so that is what a concussion feels like

Last Tuesday was rather memorable, particularly the sound that my head made slamming into the sheet of plywood. It was kinda of a squishy sound, kinda like a watermelon being dropped on it's end from about a foot. Believe it or not I do happen to know that sound well from the case of watermelons I dropped when working in the kitchen's of Many Glacier Hotel.

Basically I took a step down on to what I thought was dirt, but it was only a very dirty and wet sheet of plywood. The next thing I knew I was yelling (likely swearing very, very loudly) and quickly followed above mentioned sound of the back of my head slamming into that sheet of plywood. I never had the experience of blacking out but was pretty fuzzy for several minutes and was feeling nauseous. I talked with my father who is a nurse and a frequent recipient of concussions, then bought some herbs at People's coop and spent the next two days being the main character in a play about short attention span theater at home.

I had my first ever acupuncture appointment on Friday which helped significantly and was able to get a lot of somewhat technical work done over the weekend. I couldn't haul the compost as my upper back and shoulder are still rather annoyed.
