WildAid, Eco-Mercenaries

By jeremy - Posted on 03 August 2002

There is a very interesting article in the NY Times Maganzine about WildAid, a group who work in countries all over the world providing park rangers with tactical training and fire power in thedirect protection to wildlife in danger, through wildlife law enforcement, habitat protection, education and community outreach.

The article touchs on how in Russa, Thailand, Cambodia, and China WildAid-trained park rangers have helped save the tigers, elephants, turtles, monkeys,... from poachers. WildAid's efforts have been noticed by the US State Department, who gave WildAid an $80,000 grant.

Here is the URL and I have sent in a request to the NY Times to post the article on biohabit.com.
